Baby Teething Process in Babies

Teething Process in Babies

Teething Process in Babies.jpg

Babies
usually start teething when they are six months old, but in some babies this process may occur earlier or later.

Teething generally begins with a slight swelling and pain felt in the gums.

The first teeth are the lower front teeth (lower central incisors), but this order may differ for each baby.

Teething Symptoms

The teething process in babies comes with some symptoms.

Among these symptoms;

• swelling in the gums,
• redness,
• increased salivation,
• restlessness,
• loss of appetite,
• insomnia
• There is a mild fever.

This process may be a little painful for babies. If there is a lot of pain, you can use the pain reliever recommended by your doctor. You can give your baby teethers or cold objects to relax during this period.

To give an example for cold objects, you can first dip the teether or a clean piece of it in breast milk, tie a knot, and cool it in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes before use. Care should be taken to ensure that these objects are not excessively cold.

Some parents may also choose to use dental gel for teething babies, but it is important to consult your doctor before starting to use dental gel.

During this process, it is very important to pay special attention to the care of babies' gums and teeth. You can gently clean the gums with a cotton swab.

Since every baby is different, the teething process may differ for each baby. It is important to observe carefully to determine methods that will help your baby relax.

IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) is an advanced fertility treatment that helps individuals and couples conceive when natural pregnancy is difficult or unsuccessful. In IVF, eggs are retrieved from the ovaries, fertilized with sperm in a laboratory, and the resulting embryo is transferred into the uterus.

IVF is one of the most effective assisted reproductive technologies (ART) and has helped millions of families worldwide achieve pregnancy.

What Does IVF Mean?

IVF stands for In Vitro Fertilization.

  • In vitro means “in glass,” referring to fertilization outside the body.
  • Fertilization occurs in a controlled laboratory environment.

After fertilization, the embryo develops for several days before being placed into the uterus to implant naturally.

The Importance of Cervical Smear Testing During Pregnancy

The smear test (Papanicolaou test) is an effective screening method used for the early detection of premalignant and malignant changes in cervical epithelial cells. As a key tool in the early diagnosis of cervical cancer, this test also holds significant clinical importance during pregnancy with respect to the protection of maternal health.

Applicability of the Smear Test in Pregnancy

The smear test can be safely performed during pregnancy. It is particularly recommended during the first trimester for women who have not undergone regular cervical screening prior to pregnancy. Current evidence indicates that the procedure does not adversely affect fetal health nor does it increase the risk of pregnancy loss.
